What do I do once I have had an accident?

• Make sure that you and your passengers are safe and being looked after. If any medical assistance is required, call an ambulance straight away
• Secure your vehicle to ensure the risk of further damage or loss is reduced
• Gather as much information as you can. This includes:
  • names, addresses, phone numbers and licence numbers of the people involved in the accident
  • names and contact details of witnesses at the scene
  • registration numbers of all vehicles involved.
• Report the incident to the police. If you are given an incident number, keep this safe. You may need this for your claim.
